How do I smooth out lines? I have altered a photo of a black dress and I need to know how to smooth out the lines on the sides and bottom. When responding, please keep instructions simple. I have not used PS for 20+ years and am pretty rusty.

Your in need of Photoshop training which is not really the purpose of this forum, this is not a mac specific problem and having used and supported PS, CS and CC for the last 20 years I can tell you the Mac and PC versions are identical at this time, there is no difference on either platform as to functionality.
I would try YouTube or adobe because this probably already has been done and it's on the web.
I am a 25 year veteran of PS and there is more than one way to accomplish what you are trying to do.
The various steps and procedures to explain what to do just take too long to post in a predominantly Mac Troubleshooting forum.
