iPhone is stuck in DFU mode

Hello everyone,

I've been having a hardware problem on my iPhone (charger can hardly charge), so I wanted to reset my iPhone to send it for warranty. The thing is I followed a tutorial on how to reset an iPhone and it told me to set it in DFU mode, which I did.

But now, the iPhone has been stuck on the Apple logo with the empty progression bar beneath it... When I connect it to iTunes (very hard because of my original hardware issue), it orders me to enter my PIN code, but it is not asked on the iPhone, I can't enter it anywhere.

I can't get it out of DFU mode either...

What can I do ? I just want to reset my phone anyway...

Thank you so much by advance!

Renaud.

As long as nothing is actually wrong with your iPhone, you can exit Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode without restoring the device in iTunes. To get out of DFU mode follow the same steps as a force Restart

1. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously.
2. Let go when the Apple logo appears and the iPhone is booting up.

To get out of DFU mode follow

1. Hold down the Sleep button and Home button at the same time.

2. After a few seconds the Apple logo appears and the iPhone will boot.
3. Your iPhone is now out of DFU mode.

If the procedure doesn't work the first time, try steps 1-2 again. If something is wrong with your iPhone you may need to restore using iTunes.

Well if you still cant get out you can try this.

Try updating it via itunes if your phone is updated to the last version downgrade it to a still signed previous version that you can download it from ipsw.me. go on itunes and click update with the shift key pressed while you click it, a select file screen will pop up and there you have to pick the software that you downloaded. if after updating you still cant get out try this. turn off the device holding down the power button till the screen goes off, plug it to the wall and hold the power button. this worked for me. i hope this works for you
