Q: Average pace calculation
HOw the average pace calculation is done in workout apps outdoor option?
I Used my watch for the 3rd time for my walk. I walked total 34 minutes And covered 1.34 miles. The avg pace it shows is 25'25" MI which is quite wrong.
FOr my another walk of 1 mile in 20 mins it shows avg speed as 22' 08".
DItto for my indoor runs. The speed never matches with my treadmill.
I Don't understand how this calculation is done. Can someone please explain??

Pace is different to speed, so the figure will not match the speed measurement displayed on your treadmill.
Instead, pace shows how long - in minutes and seconds - it will presently take you to travel one mile or kilometre (depending upon which distance unit you have chosen to use) if you continue to walk or run at the same speed.
For example, the Workout app screenshot below shows a pace of 9 minutes and 24 seconds per mile (the ' and " symbols indicate time in minutes and seconds, not distance):
