Is 1password safe to use?

I was looking for a good app to keep all of my passwords in one place. I came across 1password, I got it for both my iPhone and MacBook Pro. I started using it and a friend of mine told me that apps and websites like 1password is not safe to use because they may steal my personal information and can access my personal passwords. I seems very secure and safe to me and I don't think that they would every steal my passwords, but is there some sort of reassuring opinions of my confidence in 1password.

How do you all like 1password?

What do you all primary use it for?

Do you feel safe and secure when using 1password?

Would you recommend it to others?

The Keychain Access app that stores your passwords comes pre installed on your Mac in HD > Applications > Utiliites

There is no need for a third party password manager. Sites like 1Password have been hacked.

Yes, it's safe to use.

No app, is full-proof, but 1Password has Avery good reputation. They are subject to a security compromise just like anyone, but the developer itself has no access to your personal information.

You can, of course, use the built-in Apple Keychain app, instead, which is considered even more secure.

I have used 1Password since the original app was introduced 10 years ago in 2006. I FIND 1PASSWORD TO BE 100% SAFE! I use it only with my home wi-fi network for syncing my Mac and iOS devices. You NEVER have to use/sync 1Password with a remote server, so there is NOTHING to hack.

1Password can store password files locally and never sync with remote servers. The files can also be synchronized through Dropbox[9] (all platforms), local Wi-Fi,[10] and Apple's iCloud[11] (local Wi-Fi and iCloud sync are only available on the Mac and iOS versions)
