iPad has pending updates, even with Automatic Downloads on
The Problem
Whenever I go to use my iPad, it informs me that I have a large number of "pending updates," and it asks me if I want to download them over Cellular. My iPad is on Wi-Fi -- which is working fine, and it does not have cellular capability, so there is no reason for it to ever ask me if I want to download things that way. Ultimately, I have to update everything manually in the App Store.
The Details
- My device is consistently on home Wi-Fi, and this is working fine.
- My device does NOT have cellular capability.
- I have Automatic Downloads ON for everything except for Music.
- I have tried rebooting my device. It did not fix the problem.
- My phone doesn't seem to have the same problem, but unlike the iPad, it is set to "Use Cellular Data."
The Question
How do I get Automatic Downloads to automatically download app updates like it's supposed to?
