How do I block spam calendar invitation emails?

All of a sudden this week I started receiving emails from noreply@email.apple.com asking me if I want to subscribe to various obviously spam calendars such as:

"Subscribe to Apple Trusted’s “Longchamp Discount Event” , Find the latest styles and save up to 70% OFF" calendar?"

This is truly annoying. I have searched all over trying to figure out how to fix this and why it started happening but have found nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this or know how to make it stop?

Having the exact same issue. I originally started getting emails, and now the reminder app continues to pop up with notifications every few hours. I have reset my settings and my phone completely with no luck - thinking it might have something to do with the Apple ID itself? Incredibly irritating, am thinking of popping into a Genius Bar/Store and seeing what they say.

This is what I did. I went into settings on my phone and pad and then iCloud settings and turned off calendar in iCloud for both. Then I did the same on my mac, unchecked calendars in iCloud settings. Then I went to iTunes and synced up all three (my default setting is sync over wifi). The next day I turned iCloud back on for all three and Voila... no more spam and haven't gotten any for three days now. By reading this it should be clear that I'm technologically challenged and the above instructions (which for me are crystal clear) maybe a bit murky. If you know your equipment, you know what I am talking about.

Hope it helps

I did this, but it didn't fix it for me. The events didn't disappear and they kept coming. My ical is not associated with an email so it was not helpful. I didn't find any emails in my junk or inbox related to any of these invitations. I spent 3 hours with Apple for them to tell me to change my apple ID password (didn't work as I told the tech) for them to FINALLY admit they have no solution. Also, it is not from the update to the new iOS because I was still on the old iOS and receiving them. I have finally upgraded and it's terribly glitchy with responding to texts. The best thing to do second to just ignoring them is as someone stated below is add the sender as a contact and block them. If you can ignore them the senders will not continue to send as they won't be receiving a response to know this is an active calendar. The event reminder disappears when the events pass. It has been two weeks since I have received an invite.
