Does apples dead pixel policy require a warranty?

I have an iPod 4G that was given to me years ago. It doesnt have a warranty but it has a large area of dead pixels. Does Apple's dead pixel policy cover it?User uploaded file

No.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.
