Ipod touch 7th gen release?

Guys does anyone know if Ipod 7th gen will be released or not n when will it be? I currently have the 6th gen but i want a better one. And apple if u are seeing this then note this : Many teens and kids want something like the ipod n not ipads bcoz many people thinks it is tough to carry them and the ipod touch wasn't a hit as iphone or ipod bcz tbh u guys aren't really making the ipod touch just as strong as iphone or ipad, the ipod is strong.YES! I agree even because i also have it but there are a few problems you know and if you keep the ipod line up updated and as strong as the Iphone series I'm sure it will be a big hit for you guys even a bigger hit than ipads because 80% of the people who use tabs and ipads told me that if the Ipod touch series are just as strong as the iphone and also bigger they would have surely bought it. Also see Apple is the only company making something like the Ipod touch and none of its alternatives are even a match with it. Also the ipod touch wasn't a hit big as Iphone or ipad because even though it was released in 2015 people thought it to be much much better,they thought it would have the touch id(something everyone wants these days specially all the teens),bigger size like the iphone 6, gps,better camera,water resistant etc. But it didn't even though it was released after iphone 6. Most of my friends had a tough time buying the ipod touch because they were not sure whether to buy the ipod or ipad n not iphone as most moms dont allow it for teens and of age below, the new ipads are strong yes, but the size it problematic for carrying even the Mini series too (for some people including me and so i gave it to my cousin), it was like should we take the small weak and portable one (Ipod touch) or should take the bigger and stronger problematic for carrying(Ipad). Also Ipod touch didnt have many features for example, not showing the battery percentage( Even few years old ipads have them!!), no option to silent the ipod(again the ipad has them), no touch id(Ipad Mini 3 released in 2014 has it and Ipod touch released in 2015 doesn't) and you can't even connect the iwatch with it. Well my message to Apple is that majority of the people are expecting a stronger and newer Ipod touch please don't let us down. And finally, my tip to Apple for making the perfect Ipod is making a copy of iphone 6/6s (I prefer 6s more because of the advancement in technology) just without the cellular option and for it to have all the things a Iphone does. You need to make it different, ask kids and teens what do they want and live up to their expectations.

Whenever the next gen iPod Touch comes out, if it ever does, it will, almost assuredly, will no longer have the old, headphone jack standard.

In a few more years, all of Apple's iDevices and computers are going to be headphone jack free.

The audio headphone jack is dead or dying.

Completely wireless or Lightning connected earphones/headphones are going to be the new normal.

The only constant in technology, life and in the universe is change.

New paradigms are always coming.

Wired headphones/earphones are going to be a thing of the past very soon.

Since I own the new 6th gen iPod Touch, too, I would just like to comment, also.

Typically the iPod Touch ( because it's an iPod), Apple usually likes to keep the iPod at as small as size as possible.

This maybe one of the reasons Apple left the size of the 6th gen iPod Touch the same as the previous 5th gen iPod Touch.

Also, keeping the size of the iPod Touch 6th gen compact means it can fit anywhere and in just about any clothes pocket size imaginable.

Also, like the iPhone SE, its smaller screen can be navigated by one hand and one thumb operation.

AND it is light and very easy to hold in any size hand.

For the first time in an iPod Touch model, the 6th gen iPod Touch has come very close in many specs to the iPhone 6.

It runs on the exact same 64 bit A8 processor with a full 1 GB of RAM as the iPhone 6 (the almost 4 year old 5th gen iPod Touch only had a 32 bit A5 processor and only 512 MBs of RAM). The new 6th gen iPod Touch is fast!

The 6th gen iPod Touch has the previous gen iPhone's 8MP rear camera with a first, in an iPod Touch, an LED flash unit for the 8MP rear camera lens.

So, now you can take great pictures day and night with the 6th gen iPod Touch. You do not need an iPhone, any longer.

It runs just about every new feature of iOS 9.

Up to date WiFi and Bluetooth specs.

Yes, I admit it, the 6th gen iPod Touch should have had touch ID (my large screen iPad Pro has Touch ID, so I do not know why Apple left this feature off of the 6th gen iPod Touch) and with the iPod Touch's ability to run Health Kit, this iPod Touch should have been able to Bluetooth sync up to this gen of iPod Touch to the new AppleWatch, too!

My Pebble smartwatch can sync to every iPod Touch, iPhone and every iPad model that can run iOS 8 or later (except the iPad 2).

Why didn't Apple make the 6th gen iPod Touch work with its new Apple Watch. It has nearly all of the specs of the current iPhone lineup.

You do not get ApplePay on the 6th gen iPod Touch either, but still get Apple's Wallet app.

Overall, the 6th gen iPod Touch is a huge step up from the previous gen iPod Touch and has many features nearly on par with current iPhone models.

Yaa true man and all day I research on phones and everything So ik the specs of iPod 6 but as u already know I really wanted more features, it's not tht I'm not satisfied but in this gen or at least in 2015 it should hav had touch id uk cz Apple released Touch ID for 5s in 2013 n two years later they do use it on this product!! Y!? well idk and also see ipad mini released in 2014 also has it and also yaa I also was surprised tht Apple Watch doesn't connect to it bt couls you explain the part where u said,"My pebble smart watch could connect to every iPod touch" so u really mean a smart watch tht supports iOS can be connected with IPod touch 6th gen?? N will the Huawei smartwatch (supports both android and iOS) can be connected to iPod touch 6 or not?

I don't know but I hope it at least comes with a fingerprint password though because the iPad has a fingerprint password but the iPod 6 doesn't that kind of *****

I want to know if there will be an 256GB version of the iPod Touch like the newest iPhone. I have a very large music collection and I am still using my aging iPod classic because it is the only thing that will hold my whole music collection. And I have to convert everything to 128 MP3 in order to get it on there. It is constantly crashing and I fear it will not last much longer but the largest current iPod is only 128GB. My iPod Classic holds 160GB. Please make a 256GB iPod Touch!
