Macbook 2016 HDMI output flickering

I have both MacBook 2015 and MacBook 2016,

and I've purchased the original Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter.

I've loaded both MacBooks with genuine copies of Windows 10 Pro with bootcamp, partition cut into half between Mac OS and Windows 10.

The new MacBook 2016, while doing screen cloning using the Multiport Adapter under Windows 10,

the output always flickers, and the pattern is always consistent:

1.) Waking up from sleep, always flickers once;

2.) And then will at least flickers 2-3 times more;

It doesn't happen with the MacBook 2015,

is this is hardware design flaw of the new MacBook 2016?? Or is it a software (driver) issue?

All drivers are being updated to the latest.

I have this same issue. I'm running the 2016 Macbook m7 with Sierra 10.12.1.

I've connected a Dell ST2420L via the apple official USB-C Digtal AV Multiport Adaptor, I have one at home and at work and they both flicker after wake from sleep and then intermittently throughout the day. Seems to occur sometimes when closing/opening apps, though this could just be coincidence. When doing a full reboot it seems to settle a little, but then after a few sleep/wakes it starts to play up more.

Having exactly same issue. I took my Macbook to a GeniusBar, they had it for 1 week, did all sorts of testing and came back saying it was normal behavior if I didn't reboot the laptop daily. There was nothing to do and I had to cope with it.

I can't believe Apple is asking me to reboot my laptop every single day. Back to the 90's. Shall I do the same with my iPhone? My iPad? My Apple Watch? I have not rebooted any Apple device in months, other than to upgrade.

Using beta3 results (VGA adapter), SMC and NVRAM reset:

- no flicker so far

- after a sleep sometimes image gets blurry on the first couple of seconds but stabilizes (using external projetor several times, on a monitor just once - see picture)User uploaded file

- takes longer for image to reappear after sleep (maybe 2-3 more seconds than before)

- after sleep sometimes the resolution is "lost", after wake up need to go to settings and fix it (again with a projector)

- resolutions up to 1280x768

- lots off sleep/wake cycles to test this out

I believe the projector issues may be related to it being "public" and cable may not be in the best condition.
