Refurbished iPhone 6s from Best Buy Warranty

I've been looking into purchasing an iPhone 6/s 64GB, and found a refurbished model on Best Buy's website. My only concern is whether or not Apple's warranty will still apply, or if I'd be stuck with Best Buy's 90-day Geek Squad warranty. I'd like to buy refurbished to save some money, but not if it means losing Apple's warranty coverage. A 90-day warranty from Best Buy just doesn't seem like a long enough warranty if something goes wrong with the phone. Any ideas?

It's not just the warranty that's an issue. Apple will not provide a warranty for a used iPhone purchased from Best Buy.

Refurbished or not, the iPhone is more than likely still associated with the prior owner's Apple ID meaning you would not be able to setup the iPhone with your Apple ID.

Better to buy a new iPhone directly from Apple.

No. Apple's warranty will not apply. Not only that, Apple will not service it at all if BestBuy physically opened up the phone.

Don't do it. Don't touch anything from Best Buy that's open box or refurbished if you have any other options at all.

I had been keeping an eye on Apple's refurbished section, just in case, but they don't look to have any available refurbished iPhones.

Correct. Apple does not and never has sold refurbished iPhones at retail. Nor do any authorized resellers. The only refurbished phones available at retail sale have been refurbished (whatever that means will vary wildly) by 3rd party companies. The only warranty they will have is whatever the refurbisher or the retailer offer.

Bottom line is, these "refurbished" devices are usually nothing more than cosmetically cleaned up used devices.

Hey I just bought a iPhone 6s 64 gb and my serial no starts with FK1S73

As I know for sure it was manufactured in China and I have a apple warranty which expires on 2nd October 2017

My question is does apple gives an warranty on refurbish iPhone 6s or just for new iPhone

As already mentioned in this very thread, Apple does not sell refurbished iPhones. They never have.

Any 3rd party refurbishment may be warrantied by whomever refurbished it or sold it to you, but Apple is not involved in that at all. So you need to ask whomever you bought it from what sort of warranty they provide on their refurbished devices. If they opened the phone up or worked on it at all, you will find that Apple's warranty is now voided by having a non-authorized party work on the device.

That refurbishment, whatever that entailed or means from the seller, has nothing at all to do with Apple.
