Unauthorized Email account listed in Settings on my iPhone 6S+

The full set of steps advised by Apple for removing unwanted profiles, together with associated email accounts and any associated app is as follows:

To remove the profile - including the associated email account:

• Go to: Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management (or Profiles, depending on your iOS version) > tap on the configuration profile > tap on Delete Profile.

To delete the associated app:

• Touch and hold the app icon until it jiggles, then tap on the "X" that appears > press the Home button when done.

Restart your iPhone (normally):

• Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

I saw this reply in another location and it worked for my issue.

Look for the Profile in Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management

You should be able to remove the profile which removes the email account. Lots of adware and malware is doing this now.

Thank you. Your tip easily helped me remove the "redalerts" profile in under 30 seconds. Prior to looking at a way to remove this email profile, I found that the email was full of only junk mail. When you look at the redalerts.org website, what it says it does for you, isn't mirrored by what it delivers to you!

Yes, it could allow hacking your phone. The only way a profile can be installed is if you download it from a website and approve its installation. It can't happen spontaneously or by chance. The most common way this happens is if you install an app from a website rather than the App Store. You should never install any app that is not available from the App Store.

Yes, good plan. A better one is to never again authorize a website to install a profile on your device to begin with.

This sounds like a profile. If you go to Settings> General do you see the profile listed there? If so, see if you can delete it, to do so you may need to enter your iPhone's passcode. When deleted, you should also see the email address deleted from Settings > Mail under accounts.

Mine is an email account "emergency alerts? Don't know how I got it on my iPhone?

I have the same problem, but it is listed as weatherwarnings email box , address; enlistRoshawnlone54778@my.minibox.email

Did you get a reply from Apple with instructions on this issue? I have the same problem except mine is Accurate Weather Forecast. It is quite disconcerting.
