Why doesn't Pages open old MacWrite and MacDraw files? That would be a nice benefit for the original Mac community (lots of old files that are currently inaccessible).

intaglio (OS X 8+) opens cwk files, e.g. the drawings created in appleworks or clarisworks.
it may also open macdraw (quickdraw-based) files, but you may need to convert
them to picts first. I haven't tried these yet, as I still have appleworks 6, but I checked their
site and there's a free trial.
Yet LibreOffice is free!
Apple should pass the hat around to help it with its development needs, it's obviously sooooooo hard up. 🙂
