Jam packs and logic instrument under the legacy tab don't always appear. I've tried opening several new projects, and they show up sporadically. When I transfer music from Garageband, its always there. When I open a brand new project, only sometimes. Im using the Logic pro X 10.2.4 version. Can anyone help me with this?

It's probably a bit late to add this note but I had the same problem. All files on my HD but not showing in the LPX library. Followed the steps above and then realised that it will only work with 'Software Instrument' track NOT an Audio track. Happy days!
Try using your option key.
I recall reading that somewhere.
In my Library, the Jam Packs all show up when I select the Legacy tab at the bottom
Thanks for your reply. I have to elaborate: In the library under Legacy I see Logic, Garageband and jam pack 1 when I open a new project. When I open a project I transferred over from Garageband I see Logic, Garageband, Jampack 1, Jam Pack Remix Tools, Jam Pack Rhythm Section, Jam pack Symphony Or..., Jam Pack Voices, and Jam Pack World Music. I'm assuming the inspector strip is the region that comes up when the "i" icon is pressed at the top. I pressed the option key but nothing happened. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I was just pointing out that if you hold down the Option key BEFORE you select an instrument in the “I”nspector column, another Legacy choice will appear where you can select from 100’s of more Instruments (patches?). So perhaps this really isn’t what you wanted. Sorry.
I don’t know why you have this inconsistency with the Jam Packs not all showing up.
Perhaps someone else will chime in.
Beyond that there is reinstall LPX or ditch the prefs.

No, its definitely what I'm looking for, its just not working on my end. Great tips though, Ill keep trying. Thanks again 🙂
Open up the sound library and make sure all the legacy sound files (jam packs are selected) and they are downloaded. ( do a full download and the update)
Then on an instrument channel strip, click on the "settings" plug-in insert and you should see the Jam Packs under the legacy submenu...
