With the new Apple TV Remote app how do you set up an 3rd Gen Apple TV that is connected via ethernet? It seems that the Apple TV Remote app requires the Apple TV to be connected via WiFi.

Yeah but for those of us with not fancy routers, wired should be more than enough. I'm having this problem as well, and I don't care to spend $200 on wireless to connect a $150 device that should be able to use a wired network that I already have.
I live in an apartment building and wireless is awfully congested.
Hello fbottone. Which problem are you having? iPhone Remote app on WiFi cannot see ATV on wired ethernet? Is the ATV connected to the same router that generates the WiFi? Does the router bridge the wired and wireless VLANs? My old dLink router from Verizon did not, so I had to put ATV on WiFi in order to use AirPlay.
