I'm asking for my mother.
This 4th Generation iPad is fully updated, but it's impossible to get Multi-Tasking (split screen mode) going.
I see this when I go to the iPad's Settings screen. As you see, there are three things listed there: Siri, Spotlight Search, and Handoff & Suggested Apps. The next thing there should be Multitasking - but it's missing.
How do I get Multitasking working again?

If using iOS 11, multitasking works a little differently, now.
Maybe you need all of this to help you properly learn to use and navigate iOS 11.

I can’t get it to work on my iPad Pro. Tried everything.
There is no split screen or slide over anything on iPad 2, 3 or 4 models.
Slide over functions is only on iPad Air and later.
Split screen function is only on iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 & iPad Mini 4.
