Carolyn the issue is first that the app store never completely finishes loading the featured screen that it defaults to when the App store app is started. Secondly the onedrive app is distributed through the App store which is controlled by Apple and it fails. Since that is the medium used to execute and complete the install which fails I do not see how it could possibly be a problem for Microsoft to deal with. Third I have used the app store for many years and I can tell when it is acting very slow in response to changing screens. Taking over 30 seconds just to bring up the featured page (and not completely loading graphics) is not characteristic of App store behavior. I have 5 static ip addresses. My iMac is the only device on one of those ip addresses. The rest of my iPhone iPad and Windows computers are using a different static ip on a completely different internal lan ip addressing scheme. I have tested my speeds and my downstream on the iMac is 18Mbps downstream and over 3Mbps upstream so it isn't a connection issue either.
Yes the onedrive app not responding issue would be for them to help me with but that isn't the issue now that it is uninstalled. Apple in all their wisdom created an issue that I can't control because there is no way for me to download the app directly through the Microsoft website. Were I able to do so I could figure out on my own if it is an issue related directly to the app store, the application or an issue with their installer being pushed through the App Store.
I appreciate your willingness to help me brainstorm to see if there is something I'm missing but this is related solely to the distribution of the app which is controlled by App store. I'm completely aware that it could be the for some reason the installer being accessed on the App store could being corrupted.
Think about it if I followed your suggestion to contact Microsoft onedrive the first thing they would tell me is they don't control the distribution and installation of the app and to contact Apple. I mean it installed fine yesterday and was working for a while syncing so while possible it is related to the app itself logically that seems to be the least likely scenario.
