What Version of OSX do you have?? This site gives the Bootcamp requirements: System requirements to install Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support. And did you do a upgrade?? It might of been that the upgrade didnt go correctly for the OS?

Looking at the Windows 10 version you have downloaded, its the anniversay update, which was released less than a month ago. It could be that Apple is not reconisgin the Windows version when reading the disk, as it is too new. Dont know if you have access to download the previous build and do a Windows update??

Plist files are MAC OSX files and contain Information Properties as documented in Developer Documentation InfoPlistKeyReference . Windows equivalent is a Global Registry Hive, unlike plists which are per application files.

ISO file from Microsoft is a CD/DVD image.

There is no info.plist that comes with the ISO. The ISO file cannot be on the USB, because BCA tries to erase and format the USB and you have the ISO open from the same device. This is why your USB Installer cannot be created.

Download the appropriate ISO file to your Documents folder, and point to it when prompted by BC Assistant. Allow BCA to format/erase the USB flash drive. Do not connect any external peripheries till windows is full installed (except the USB Installer flash drive, only when prompted).

A very strange suggestion from Support. My ISO file shows the following. I have installed this release on about 10 Macs in the last couple of days.

Is strange. The message you have also said Windows 7 or higher, which it is. Which bring me back to the anniversary version being so new. Apple might not know the build number yet. Are there any updates to the Mac OS?

The info.plist is a windows file, it is used by the Mac OS so this wouldn't have anything to do with it. The ISO is the entire install file for windows, so thats all you need to install the OS usually.

My OS X is now fully wiped and fresh. I have no files on the USB, and I placed the ISO file on my Desktop. I selected the ISO image on BCA to the ISO on my Desktop and selected the destination disk as my USB, yet I still get the same error. Help? :/

Are they the same as what I posted, or are they the same as what you had last time before we started the download?

Downloads from Microsoft do not check for block corruption. If the MD5sums are identical, then your ISO is not an issue.

What USB brand/size/type drive are you using for the USB Installer?

How is the USB connected to the Mac?

I've looked around and people talk about cleaning a drive, or something along them lines. I can get up to the bit where you choose the OS image to install, it's just nothing is there, and says make sure it's accessible.

Do you have a USB2 flash drive which 8-16GB? Can you mount the ISO and check the ISO for a ".wim" file and the size of the file. This should be your WIM file.

With the USB3 64 GB connected, can you post the output of

diskutil list

It's August 23rd, 2016. I just had this identical problem. I came here to help find a solution, but ultimately solved the problem by deleting the ISO file I had downloaded and simply downloading it again. The second time it worked fine. Thought you might want to try that.
