Intermittent network connection problems

This has been happening for a few weeks now.

My iPhone just keeps losing network connection about once every half hour for a few minutes.

My phone is connected using WiFi and this doesn't disconnect it's just the internet stops working.

This works on any WiFi network. Both my home and work networks have had no changes to make the issue start happening. Everyone else l know who also has an iPhone 6+ phone doesn't have this problem on the same networks so it must be down to my particular phone.

Doesn't anyone have an idea what could cause this issue? Hardware or software?

Let me know if you need anymore information.

Thanks,

Justin

Below is a User Tip about Wi-Fi issues. Suggest starting from the top and working down. Maybe one of them will help.

1) Restart you device.

2) Reset Network Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Rejoin the Network again.

3) Reboot Router/Modem: Unplug from power for 2 minutes and plug again. Update Router Firmware (check manufacturer’s support website for a newer FW). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (20 MHz recommended for the 2.4 band). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for the 2.4 band.

4) Change to Google's DNS: Settings > Wi-Fi > Click on the Network, Delete all numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or alternatively 8.8.4.4

5) Disable device prioritization on the router if this feature is available. Also disable any VPN apps and test Wi-Fi again.

6) Determine if other Wi-Fi devices on network are working well (other iOS devices, Macs, PCs).

7) Try device at another Network, i.e., neighbors’, public coffee house, etc.

8) Backup and Restore the Device using iTunes. Try restoring as New first and testing it. If ok try restoring the backup (the backup could be corrupted).

9) Go to an Apple Store for hardware evaluation. The Wi-Fi chip or the antenna could be defective.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'd already done 1,3,4,5,6,7 .

I've just done 2 now. I was resisting doing this as l have so many network details saved to the phone but hopefully that'll will sort the issue.

I did just think that coincidentally this issue started around the time l started using the Micro Machines app on my phone. When l use this app my phone gets incredibly hot on the back and l wonder if that has caused some hardware fault....

I suppose l'll have to go to an Apple store if this network reset doesn't work (or wait for the iPhone 7)

Thanks for your reply but it is 100% nothing to do with my router or network, it is purely to do with my phone. This is why l posted a message on here as everything l try and find in Google is related to networks problems rather than phone specific network problems.

- This happens on different networks

- At work this only happens to me and not the other 5 iphones and ipads on the network

- At home my 2 ipads, Mac Mini, other iPhones have no network issues and work perfectly on my network. Anyone visiting my house who owns an iPhone doesn't have this issue either... just me.

- Even though the above points are true l have already reset my router and this made no difference.
