Continuous beeping on iPad Pro w/ Smart Keyboard

About every day, I will find my iPad Pro continuously beeping. Laying flat on my desk with the keyboard closed or in my briefcase. The only way to stop the beeping is to remove the keyboard completely. Just opening doesn't stop it.

I think it's related to notifications happening, as there are always notifications on the splash screen when I open the keyboard. In the case of it laying on my desk, there shouldn't be any buttons pressed, although that could be the case in a briefcase.

I'm baffled by this, especially since there are no search results on this topic in Google. Anyone else seeing this?

This is the advise I got from Apple. Since doing it I haven't had any more trouble.

Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again

Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
If iTunes is already open, close it. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, borrow one from a friend or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
While your device is connected, force restart it with these steps:
- On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
- On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device. If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits recovery mode, let the download finish, then repeat these steps.
After the Update or Restore completes, set up your device.

Neither does replacing the iPad. The combo is defective and there's nothing they can do about it. We all deserve refunds.

I replaced my keyboard and problem was solved for about 6 months. I’m back to the beeping again.

I turned off the auto-lock function on the iPad Pro settings, have not had this problems since then. It's been 4 weeks and no beeping/vibrating at all!

I have the same issue but now even without anything connected. It either keeps beeping constantly or the screen freezes. I’m slowly giving up (fairly new 12” IPad Pro)

You can try resetting your settings, you won’t lose data but if you don’t have the password for your WiFi, I wouldn’t do it. This fixed my smart keyboard for my 9.7 inch IPad Pro.
