ask for password 3 times

iCloud > family member > share my purchases > ask to buy > ask for password 3 times

Why do I have to enter my childs password three times to buy an app? Currently with 'ask to buy' turned on, when my son wants an app he has to enter his password, than immediately enter it again for 'icloud' than i get sent an approval request, I enter my password from my phone, than he has to enter his password again! This seems a bit overkill. Is there a way to at least remove one of his password entry request?

Have had the exact same problem ever since I set up my son’s account a few months ago. To the point where he doesn’t want to get any apps because he’s tired of entering his password so much. Not that I mind but i can’t imagine Apple appreciates the lost revenue.

Settings > Touch ID & Password > REquire a Password > set it to something other than Immediately.

Thank you for your response!

You were correct that I had it set to immediately on my childs iPad, however changing it to 'require passcode after 5 minutes' did not resolve. I still have to enter his passcode three times.
