My ipod Touch 5th generation won't work.

i have an ipod touch 5th generation, 32 gb. So, i was just casually texting my friends and scrolling through my instagram when my screen just went black. I thought it was just a glitch or something, so i waited and i connected it to the usb cord and attempted to restart it. I noticed the apple logo would appear every 3 seconds and then go back to the black screen. Behind the apple logo there are like rectangular box shaped things, and the top row is lit up in a white colour. I Tried everything i saw. nothing is working. I haven't updated it yet bc i"m lazy, Though i'm not sure that has anything to do with it acting up. iv'e tried the home button thing, it won't work. i tried connecting it to this computer i'm on. it won't budge. I'm freaking out bc all of my info is on there, and i really don't want to lose it. Someone please help! 😢

Could be a hardware problem. See what you missed here:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201412

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
