Bypassing silent mode for a single incoming call?

Hi

I am part of a volunteer mountain rescue group. We are getting called out by an automatic callservice. This weekend we had an emergency call out in the middle of the night but only a few heard their call because they had their phones in silent mode.

I have been checking out the "dont disturb" mode, but it seems like silent mode is overriding the "dont disturb" mode.

Is there a way that I can make sure that this emergency number always will call out loud when they are trying to reach me?

I usually have my phone in silent mode both day and night.

If you're using Do Not Disturb mode, you don't need to have your phone on silent. I would recommend that overnight you use Do Not Disturb and set it to allow calls only from the emergency number, and then make sure that your phone is set to ring. Do Not Disturb mode will silence all other calls and notifications, except if you have Repeated Calls switched on.
