How to fix an http 404 page not found error using Safari?

I continually get the http error 404 message on a retail online website! need assistance..I cleared cookies per the online customer service suggestion..rebooted etc. Still will not work

MacBook (13-inch Mid 2010), iOS 9.3.5

1. Click  in the menu bar and choose “Force Quit”.

In the window that opens up, select “Safari” and click “Force Quit.


2. Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.


3. Use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac to remove adware.

Download, install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.

Once done, quit Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac.

Your solution may not work for me as I have El Capitan...I am also unsure of how to actually do some of the steps in the article you linked.. But thank you!


I completed my order on this website but only as a guest, it will not allow me to sign in...on Safari or Chrome using TWC or Frontier..using my MAC or another computer!

The IT people at DSW are supposed to get back to me....


I cannot imagine what is the problem... I have not tried using a PC as I do not have access to one, just my trusty MAC and for some reason it does not like DSW!
