AirPort Extreme Base Station 4th Gen

Hello All,

I have a refurbished AirPort Extreme Base Station 4th Gen router connected to an Arris SB6141 cable modem. I've had this AEBS for nearly 5 years with no issues. Last night, we had severe weather in the area and almost immediately after an extremely close lightning strike, our internet went out. Service as since been restored and our modem is functioning properly. However the AEBS is flashing amber with intermittent solid green. When I opened AirPort Utility to diagnose and fix the issue, I was prompted to connect the Ethernet cord to the AEBS. All cables/cords are connected and secured. I have cycled power on all equipment, tried different cables, and even performed a hard reset on the AEBS and it still will not recognize the Ethernet cord that is plugged in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that you have tried another Ethernet cable between the modem and AirPort Extreme......and if that is the case, the storm produced a surge that damaged the WAN port on the AirPort Extreme.....even though the modem might not have been affected.

About all that you can do is try a Factory Default Reset on the AirPort Extreme a few times to see if that might help. Good luck!
