use my company card with apple pay

I have a company card from HSBC UK in my name. Can I use it to purchase things with apple pay?

Thanks in advance,

Hi

In order to use Apple Pay, your card must be a supported card from a participating issuer. However, not all cards that are issued by any given participating bank are necessarily supported for use with Apple Pay.

Apple does not publish a list of supported cards.

To find out whether your card is supported for Apple Pay, you can either:

- Contact HSBC and/or check their website;

- Try adding the card (you will be advised if it cannot be added).

Whilst your HSBC company card (which is in your name) may not be supported, note that it is not necessarily the case that all company cards cannot be used with Apple Pay.

Decisions regarding which cards are supported are made by each participating bank.

Just an update - I was able to add my Costco Citi Business card to Apple Pay this morning.

If your card is not presently supported, but you would like it to be, be sure to let HSBC know.
