Yes, I've adjusted it through preferences, and been using Aperture for three years, it just won't show aperture on share when multiple standard images selected in Photos.
Sorry, can you clarify what Preferences you are referring to?

FWIW this works for me, i.e., multiple photos directly imported to an opened Aperture library. I'm not suggesting that it's not working for you. I'm on 10.12.2 on a 2013 Retina 15" MacBook Pro.
Didn't know this feature existed; surprised that Aperture is supported by Photos. May be useful during transition.
I think you replied to the wrong person 🙂. I posted that it was working fine for me in response to Wifipadchamps who was having an issue.
And yes, both iPhoto and Aperture continue to work with the macOS. There are reported issues with certain functionality (not sure what they are because I'm pretty much not using either anymore), but all in all, they work just fine in Sierra.
I used both iPhoto and Aperture when I upgraded to Yosemite because I was a bit wary of Photos. But I have to say, that after working more and more with Photos, I now pretty much use it exclusively. I find the editing tools to be quite robust, and I really like the integrated capability to use photo extensions within Photos. It is ever so much easier than trying to drag and drop a photo from the library to the little square on the extension's window! 😝

Most Share items in the Share menu are having a limit - Facebook, Flickr, Mail, and Add to Aperture.
When I select just a few items in Photos, I can share them to Aperture, but if I try to more than share 100 items at once, the "Add to Aperture" item will no longer be there.
For example, with 30 items selected:
And with more than 100 items selected:
Wow, thanks for that clarification léonie! That may be exactly what the poster was running into. Good to know if the question ever comes up again! 🙂

My pleasure, Gail!
The limits keep changing. If I remember correctly, they have been lower in Photos on Yosemite, but I can no longer check. The small numbers are particularly annoying, if we want to save large numbers of photos on Flickr.
Sorry I couldn't get back to you before. Using a disc/RAM reporting app we were able to get to the bottom of the problem, and its not at all what I expected.
When I bought this Mac in July 2014 I specced it as highly as it was possible to do, 3Tb disc, 3.7-3.9Ghz processor i7, and Aperture installed from new. At the time it came as standard with 8Gb of RAM and I specified 16Gb, as double should have lasted the 4 years I wanted from it. However that was the problem. With Wordpress App, iTunes, Photos and Aperture open, plus running the rather bloated OS Sierra, and Safari, it was out of RAM, butting up against 15+Gb.
Once it does that it cuts back what you can do automatically, and one of those things is sharing photos. A the time 32Gb of RAM was way to expensive, but £85 later and two additional memory slots filled, 32Gb installed has resolved the issue completely. Its extraordinary that in less than 3 years an average of 9Gb usage has shot up to nearly 16Gb. And it's mostly OS Sierra that's to blame. I won't make that mistake next time. Thank you all for your assistance.

I have a 2009 iMac with 8GB of RAM, recently upgraded from an HD to an SSD. At the time I considered whether to add more RAM, but first I decided to test it under load to make sure it would be worthwhile. I started up a bunch of apps including Safari with 20 tabs open, Mail, iMessage, Tweetbot, iTunes, Photos, Final Cut Pro X, and finally Aperture with a 300GB library open. After examining the memory pressure with Activity Monitor, I concluded that I would rarely if ever benefit from additional RAM.
So my comment to you is that the only app on your list which is guilty of bloat is Wordpress.
Didn't know there was a Wordpress app.
Depending on what your Safari tabs are, Safari can eat up lots (and lots) of memory.
How does one tell if Sierra (or any other OX) is bloated?
We were able to see which apps were causing the most use and Wordpress wasn't it. It was Photos - with a 1.23Tb library to support - oddly enough Aperture which had almost nothing in its library was second with Wordpress third. Wordpress have made it almost impossible to use the Safari pages now to edit content because it causes so many save issues, though the app can have it's low moments. another heavy memory consumer was iTunes - it seems that while using Apple Music it uses way more than just your own library. Nonetheless it is now resolved. I'm no longer following this thread so please don't feel the need to reply.
Fellow Aperture Users
I have contributed to this thread on previous pages and have re-read all the posts.
I have re-tested my library on a clean install of Sierra 10.12.2
Apart from the thumbnails being upside-down, all seems to be well
May I ask if other users are having issues with Aperture 3.6 and Sierra 10.12.2?
Could it be that 10.12.2 has resolved some or most of the issues listed above?
Over to you all
Brian
The "Straighten" problem seems to be fixed for me on Sierra 10.12.2.
Leone
Good to know that this now works for you
I find that the following now work:
'f' for full screen - no crash
'w' to switch inspector tabs - no crash
Custom metadata fields with a space in the name - no crash
But as already mentioned - thumbnails are still upside down
Looks like Christmas has come after all
