Is it safe to download Silverlight onto Mac
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
Why do you need SilverLight? It is being phased out on Macs by Microsoft and will no longer be supported beyond 2016.

I had it installed on my Mac only to have it cause so many problems that I have since uninstalled it. Now when a site suggest it be installed again I am ignoring those site instead of going through the nightmares with Silverlight again.
