Artist Photos Missing in iTunes 12.5.1

I've noticed a few artist photos are missing since upgrading to 12.5.1. Any ideas on how to fix or refresh? They are mainstream artists, nothing obscure.

I may have found a possible solution (well it worked for some of my missing artist photos in iTunes). I noticed that some of the artists with missing photos had an extra space after their name in iTunes.

So if you go into iTunes -

go to 'artists' under 'library' on the main page -

right click on an artist with a missing photo -

click 'artist info' -

look in the 'album artist' field -

see if there's an extra space at the end of their name -

if so, remove it and click 'ok'.

This has worked for me for most of the mainstream artists in my library, so has got rid of a fair number of those ugly microphone images.

Another point I've noticed is that changing the artist name slightly can determine whether iTunes will display a photo or not. For example 'The Bee Gees' in my library had a no photo even after removing the space. As this is a very mainstream artist, I thought to change the name album artist name to 'Bee Gees' and it worked bringing up an artist photo.

Good luck!

I have same problem, although I discovered that my album art is only missing on the album I transferred to my iPhone 6, Now I want to transfer songs to my iPhone seven, but the album art is gone.

I did find a solution that at least works for me, but it is a real pain in the a...! in my library I have 35000 songs most bought outside iTunes or ripped from my own Cd's. I found that if I manually go to each album missing art, and then right-click and choose get album art, nothing happens. But if I then close iTunes and the reopen iTunes, the art is there and stays there. Problem now is that I have to do this about a zillion times. Hope this works for others until Apple solves this

I have the same problem too. Artists icons not showing a photo. No way to update it or customise it either. The artist shown below, 'Allusondrugs' was purchased through iTunes so that is definitely NOT the problem. I think it is a bug.

Also here is some general feedback which I hope the designers will find useful. My last comment was deleted for some reason.

The layout shown below looks terrible (it looks like it has been formatted by a beginner Web Designer with no knowledge of CSS). I love the clean look of Apple products, but the fonts used here look heavy and ugly and do not fit with the brand. You would be better off using a lighter font.

Also the huge 3" thumbnails are too big and take up the whole screen. This makes it hard for me to browse through all my awesome music. I have a 1080p display. We don't all have retina displays - why not add a feature to allow the user to resize the thumbnails to suit them?

The album pictures are missing from the "Artist" view in iTunes.
Apple must like getting bombarded with complaints... do they even test this before releasing???

They were always there before and now it looks stupid with a little microphone in place of the artists album covers..

It is incumbent of this company to respect the dignity of these artists and give them back there well deserved pictures... and fire who ever compiles their software and doesn't have it tested properly...
Hire some musicians as a design aid for your software Apple... you might then actually have a decent looking interface!!!
