I just downloaded and installed the new iOS 10 and the first thing I noticed that I want to change is the notifications. I would like to get them grouped by app again, how I had them set up on iOS 9. However, I can't seem to find this option anywhere in the settings. Can someone please tell me how I can change this setting or if it's no longer an option?

It has been over a year since Apple removed that feature. At a guess, it's not likely to come back. But, if it's important to you, you should still submit your feedback to Apple and let them know.
Funny; first you tell people it's "useless" to post their opinions on "Apple Communities" (which it isn't) and continually post the feedback link as if offended, but then you chime in later with your unsolicited yet condescending opinion.

Posting here is useless if you want Apple to know what you what you think about the issue. And, yes, this is a fact. The only Apple employees who spend much time in the forums are the Hosts, whose job is to keep order and the Community Specialists who answer a certain subset of questions if they have gone unanswered for a day or more. My concern is that if people care about an issue and want their opinions (whether or not I personally agree with them) heard where they will do some good, they know where to post.
You seem to be the one offended by someone disagreeing with you. It's a very big and diverse world. You will find, as you go through life, that lots of people disagree with you. That makes neither of you bad people, just people with different opinions. Civil discourse is still possible.

Unless and until Apple adds it back, no. Submit your feedback to Apple. The more people who do, the more likely that they will consider adding it back.
Yes. It's so annoying to see and handle numerous notifications from same app, when those are not grouped together.
I recently switched to iphone from android and feel like, I was better off in android.

iPhones tend to hold their resale value very well. If you think an Android phone is a better choice for you, sell the iPhone and use the proceeds to buy one. Always chose the tool that best meets your needs.
I am not saying, that android is better for me. There are 100 good things in iphone over android. But it was just this feature where I was disappointed as notifications just got annoying without being grouped
You are right. The new Notification Center makes our life so difficult and wastes our time

Yeah, the new notification center is awful.
I"m using it on an iPad, not an iPhone (don't trust it on my iPhone yet).
1) No clear indication of which part of notification center you're in (just two very easy to miss dots at the bottom of the screen).
2) the notification center widget "edit" mentions left column vs right column, but this has absolutely no apparently meaning. If you're in notification center and rotate the screen to landscape, column do not form. It also doesn't have any relevance to left (widget) screen vs right (notifications) screen.the
3) the "group by app" in settings isn't there anymore (nor the "sort order"). Which are SORELY missed.
4) to scroll through widgets, you have to touch the widgets, you can't put your finger into the margin to scroll. Which, because IOS is so horrible about detecting grab vs click, is prone to activating the widget instead of bypassing it.
So far, the rest of IOS 10 is just "slightly different". But Notification center? HORRIBLE.
Yes Apple please bring back group by app options in notifications.
Having the same struggle. Doesn't seem to be an option as of right now.
I totally agree, I dont really understand why the option to sort by App is missing but I love if Apple put it back
PLEASE bring this feature back! Change is fine but this change is sorely missed.
