Q: Activity sharing not working at all

I'm having problems with activity sharing. I have two friends, both are on iOS 10 and watchOS3. I can add them, they get the notification and agree and then NOTHING happens. The wheel in the activity app on iOS keeps spinning and spinning. Anyone experienced this? Tried to delete the invitations and re-submit, but not working either.

Apple Watch, watchOS 3

I have this issue as well. Both iPhones on iOS10 and both apple watches on OS3 and it only works to see the other person progress on the iPhone activity app but it doesn't show at all on the watch...

Tried resets, delete share, add share again, nothing works so far...

    Having the same issue...

On my phone/watch I see the two people I have added.  Yet both show no activity on either device.  However, one of those people, who only has me on their end, sees my activity just fine.

When he toggled the 'show/hide activity' on and then back off, I saw him go to Hidden, but now he stays there no matter what his toggle says.  While he sees me on the phone, on his watch, my name doesn't even show up.

It's even worse here. Cannot send invites to my colleagues. But they can add themselves without a hassle.

    Things i've tried so far:

    1. Restarting iPhone and Watch

    2. Signing out of my iCloud Account and in again

    3. Tried different contact methods (phone nr., iCloud mail adresses)

    4. Tried it from different networks (WLAN, LTE, and so on).

Still no luck. I'm beginning to think, it may be some setting on my iPhone which prevents adding friends. Everything else which has to do with my iCloud Account works without a hassle. So i'm quite stranded. Apple support so far has no clue either. They are totally helpless.

I don't even get that far. Get this error all the time. I know they have a Watch and I'm sending to the correct address. The app even suggests it!

Just fixed this on mine and a friends. Unpair the Apple Watch, then re-pair it. Give it a minute or two to reload everything. Has worked for both of us.

    Problems here as well:

    • Sharing activity with 1 friend
    • They show as 0% on my iPhone activity app and vice versa
    • They do not show up on my Apple Watch activity app

Have tried deleting and inviting them again, same problem persists.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work for me. Did you recover your watch from backup, or set up a new watch during the re-pairing?

Recover from backup. It takes a few minutes to load up. One thing I noticed was that the shared list needs to be viewable on the watch. If your not seeing your friends list there, then it won't post. And for me it took about 2 minutes for them to start popping in.
