Bluetooth Connection Issues ios 10

Ever since upgrading to ios 10. My bluetooth connection in my car (2016 Hyundai Sonata) keeps connected and disconnecting every few minutes. This never happened pre-upgrade. Is anyone else experience this?

I have this problem as well. Iphone 6S plus with the latest 10.2.1. My vehicle is a BMW.

My Iphone will connect to my BMW 328I bBluetoothfine however when a phone call comes in i can answer, but I cant hear them and they cant hear me. The phone, after 5-6 seconds will disconnect and then become unpaired with my BMW. Once I re-pair I can make / recieve one (1) phone call, and after that call is completed, the process will repeat itself again of disconnecting when answered if another call comes in.

With IOS 9, I had ZERO bluetooth related problems. Seriously, zero issue. Then something happened. Since upgrading to IOS 10 I've had nothing but Bluetooth issues between this phone and my automobile. So what happened? Well I know my car didn't change, but my phones operating system sure did. Something happened that caused a perfectly good Bluetooth connection in IOS9 to stop working well in IOS 10. I have the latest firmware that BMW supplies for my year / model of car, and I am upgraded to the latest version IOS that Apple offers.

I don't need finger pointing as to who is to blame. Since I've see many other BMW owners as well as other vehicle owners having difficulties as well, I would be very on point to say this is in Apple's court to fix. Android connects reliably. Apple does not. This will be a factor when I upgrade my phone very soon.

This issues still remains with the latest iOS10 update. There have been noumerous updates since the issue occurred with the first iOS10 release. The only conclusion you can make is that Apple do not care since it has been going on for soon six months. I am sure that there have been road kills and accidents due to this now. It is actually the worst problem I have had with any Apple device and the love is slowly fainting. Apples standard recommendation as always is to reset the device. I have done this 100 times and it does not work...THIS IS A BUG IN iOS 10.

APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE OR GIVE COMMENTS HERE.

this is a user to user technical support forum. Apple does not read it and does not participate, and NEVER makes comments other than occasional links to an Apple Support article.

However, if it was a bug in iOS 10 then I would experience it, as well as a half billion (literally) other users who have upgraded to iOS 10. As the number of posts is vanishingly small, it is clearly a problem with a vanishingly small number of devices, so to resolve it take it to an Apple store and demonstrate it to a technician.

We had exactly the same issue with our iPhone 6s since ios10 -10.2.1 and my Infinity. We made a firmware update for the car, nothing helped. Finally the iPhone 6s was changed by Apple under warranty for a new phone, 2 weeks ago. The new phone had the same connection issue . But since 2 days the connection problems disappeared and I don't know why.. We can answer for all of the income phone calls. Luckily my iPhone 7 never had a connection issue with Infiniti .

Lawrence,

If you read through the 15 pages, you would have discovered that it is a variety of automobiles makes and models additionally it has a wide range of years old to brand new this BUG is affecting. So the statement of "vanishing" is not accurate. It still is occurring for many users (Taking into account the number of cars makes models and years, potentially affected, we are talking millions could have this issue. There is no current number that can be accurately placed on the number of users that have this problem directly).

Posts have indicated that the tech geniuses at the Apple stores do not have a fix either. I have tried all possible fixes to this issue that are available short of getting a new phone (but why should I have to replace an iphone 6s?)

Yes, it was introduced when IOS 10 appeared. The Blue tooth system worked flawlessly prior to the release so it is a BUG. I am very surprised it has not been addressed, now up to the 4 or 5th update to the IOS 10 software in just 6 months with the 10.3 software release coming soon. Of course each one of those are feature releases, not BUG fixes. It's all in the terminology.

I am still unable to see text messages on my 2015 Mercedes COMAND system. Worked in iOS 9.

BTW- my previous post here was deleted because I suggested that everyone complain directly to Apple. Perhaps the moderators here should help us resolve the issue, rather than removing posts which are trying to help get it resolved!

Complaining here doesn't seem to be doing anything. We need to escalate this so apple tech sees it!

Yes, I was deleted by the moderator.

I was told "nontechnical or off-topic. We understand wanting to share experiences, but these forums are meant for technical questions that can be answered by the community."

Seriously? We are trying to get answers to the technical questions.

I started this post.

I have technical issues with Apple Bluetooth connectivity and have asked technical questions. Is there a reason we are all just hoping for a solution from each other? Yes, no one employed by Apple is providing a solution.

I feel your pain. I experienced Bluetooth car issues using earlier version of ios 10 (iphone 6 plus) with a rental renault (megaine from memory and probably a 2013-2015 model) in England back in August 2016. A quick Google search of the issue revealled that the issue was widespread and as far as Renault was concerned it was a case of upgrade car firmware, problem persists, dealer consults Renault head office and report back that Apple keeps on changing the Bluetooth specifications.

if Apple make changes to the OS rendering features of the phone useless then the phone is not fit for purpose. Take it back to Apple and require Apple to rectify the fault under your common law and consumer rights. If they can't or won't within a reasonable time then make sure you have evidence of other similar cars / phones affected, give Apple that evidence with a final request to provide a remedy and then exercise your consumer remedies to reject the phone for a refund.

It's a pain but unless consumers hold Apple (and any other manufacturer who supplies dodgy goods or services) to account Apple has no motivation to respond.

I have the same problem with receiving calls. The Bluetooth hangs and crashes, then the phone disconnects. I also get other spotty bluetooth disconnects while doing other things like Siri, music, or nothing at all. I can't quite my finger on the problems, but answering calls with the idrive wheel is unbearable because it is so likely to crash.

apple please work on this!!!

Same here,

Yes, I was deleted 3 times by the moderator.

I was told "We understand wanting to share experiences, but these forums are meant for technical questions that can be answered by the community." and given a warning that I will be restricted using this forums. That's ok admin I think I have provided at least some valuable information to this community which you could not or rather you did not bother to.

I was trying to help the community over here since non of the Apple staff help or provide single comment on this forum.

I tried apple support 4 times. And they were unable to provide a solution to the Bluetooth issue I have. This is the reason we all are here to help each other by sharing our experience and steps followed to resolve the issue.

THe issue went away in my 2014 BMW 428 when I upgraded to iPhone 7

The iPhone 7 has a different BT radio so when they rolled out IOS 10.2.0 to handle iPhone 7 it broke every else under the sun.

I Was going in saying from the phone kept on disconnecting from my car. Also I was going away on a trip so I bit the bullet and upgraded to the iPhone 7 and the problem went away.
