After upgrading to IOS 10, when using e-mail on the iPad, the next and previous message buttons are missing. They still show up on the iPhone.
Is there any way to have them show up on an iPad? It's a pain to always have to go back to the message list to go to the next message.
I know that in landscape mode, this is not an issue, but when reading e-mails in portrait mode I'm really missing it.

Just updated my iPad from 9.3.5 to 10.0.2 and immediately ran into this problem: where are the next and prev message buttons in Mail? I also prefer portrait mode when using Mail and browsers. I do not understand the rationality behind removing the buttons. As already mentioned, it is not an issue of screen real estate. Someone deliberated removed the code to support buttons from the app on iPads - fixing something that was not broken. Well, its broken now!

Instead of waiting out Apple and the iOS software team to straighten out all of the issues with the iOS 10 Mail app,
If want to bring back all of the previous goodness about iOS Mail and get a few more bells and whistles, in the process.

I can confirm it's finally back in iOS 10.3!
Up and down arrows on iPad seemm to be back. Not sure when, but theyre in 10.3.2.
