I have an iPhone 6s Plus on IOS 10.0.1 and im missing the #image search function thats supposed to be built in, did an iTunes restore and setup as a new iPhone and still no .gif search. Can anyone help me out?

My #images had disappeared also even though my phone was set to region: United States; my phone language however was set to German then English. When I changed the phone language back to English first the #images showed back up. So it isn't just the region it's also the language.

Open iMessages, pess the arrow to the left, and press the App icon. Then, tap the fourc circles in the bottom left corner. Press the + sign with "Store" written next to it. Then tap Manage at the top, and turn on #images. Hope this helps.

Try turning on Automatically add apps. That might fix it.
No it doesn't. Since the gm version it's gone.
I have the exact same issue. It worked during the betas and i have tried a complete re-install of iOS10 now when it has been released, but that doesn't fix it.
Did you a "backup, restore and put backup back" re-install of iOS 10?
I was going to try that tonight, but if it won't work I think I am going to save me the trouble of doing it.
Yes i made an Encrypted iTunes backup and then entered DFU mode on my iPhone 6s+ and then reinstalled iOS10 and then restored my backup.. I thought about setting it up as a new iPhone just to see if something is wrong with my backup.

Well, I did a search *again* and in the Dutch pages Apple states "images isn't available in every country". Guess Apple is ignoring more and more countries with their apps/services. I am in the Netherlands and the list of things we cannot use is getting longer and longer. Although there isn't a confirmation *anywhere* that we don't get this app... it's non-excistence tells me it is.

In the Netherlands we don't have a lot of things either. Things Apple pushes as key features of new products are absent, sometimes for years!
