What happened to the Genius playlist feature in iOS10. This was one of my favorite features to rediscover my extensive music library while sitting on an airplane. Updated to iOS 10 yesterday and Genius is gone. Bad move, Apple. Start working on your next update to reintroduce the feature.

It's extremely frustrating that a commercial push to drive people to subscribe into Apple Music disabled this functionality on purpose. It seems to be available only when you make Music offline and to rely on the songs that you have in your iOS device Library, which is very limited by the way, most is us have Libraries bigger than what the largest iPhone capacity is.
Please fix this soon, seems to be very simple to enable what was available since many years ago, and what we used to love about the Apple experience.
Have sent my feedback to Apple. While my wife has iOS 10 on her iPad, I will keep iOS 9 on my iPad and iPhone as long as possible, or until Apple brings Genius Playlists back to iOS.
Can revert her iPad back to iOS 9?
Given they had already disabled in the iOS 10 beta release last Spring, http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/inside-the-betas-ios-10-music -app-delivers-clarity-and-simplicity it will take a lot of complaints to Apple to bring back this wonderful feature. Maybe users should stick with iOS 9 as long as possible.
This is a BAD MOVE by Apple. It seems that without the influence of Steve Jobs Apple is making some pretty bad decisions. I have a feeling that customer wants do not play a major role with Apple anymore. Disappointing to say the least....
While playing a song, tell Siri "create genius playlist".

So many good stuff eliminated in the Music app on iOS 10, or harder to access, very disappointing. My curated iTunes playlists are the only reason I'm still using an iPhone.
If the Music app gets any worse with iOS 11 I will switch to Android.
It seems they've removed this now, too 😟
The reason they got rid of it is because they want to charge for it with Apple Radio. Profits over people. The American way.
