iOS 10 Bedtime reminder not working

I installed iOS 10 on my 6s Plus. I set up a sleep schedule and set the reminder to remind me 15 minutes prior, but it never reminded me. The alarm went off in the morning though. I changed the in bed time and set the reminder to 30 minutes, but still it didn't remind me.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

DND was enabled at the scheduled remind to go to sleep time. Would that keep the reminder from working at all?

Bedtime reminder may put a notification badge but never rings an alert sound, because "Do Not Disturb" feature is working.

Go to "Setting" -> "Do Not Disturb" and check if the "Do Not Disturb" feature is Scheduled for the time of the Bedtime Reminder. Often people set the "Do Not Disturb" feature late at night, and then set the "Bedtime" reminder at the time when "Do Not Disturb" is activated. iOS prevents the Bedtime reminder to go off, because it is the time not to "disturb" the user.

In order to correct it, either disable "Do Not Disburb" feature or schedule it after the Bedtime reminder.

I think iOS is working "as designed", but it is a bad design. I hope Apple changes the design so that Bedtime reminder goes off even if "Do Not Disturb" is enabled. Yes, you don't want calls or text messages when you are asleep, but disabling Bedtime reminder, because "Do Not Disable" is on, simply does not make sense.
