Mail - How to revert view / stacking to previous update

I would like to have all messages with the same subject grouped together, but when I click the thread from my inbox, it used to give me the option to select the individual e-mails in the thread. Now when it groups the e-mails together I have to scroll through the entire chain / messages to find the one I am looking for.

If I turn off the "organize by thread" feature, then I just have individual e-mails and they are not grouped so it is hard to know if I am replying to the most recent in the chain.

Can someone please let me know if I can revert back to the way mail was before? I really liked how it organized my mail and thought this was one of the best features of the mail app.

i also had the same issue but got a solution, press the 2 blue arrows pointing right on the top right of the thread they now point downwards and they show all emails stacked up to choose which one to open/reply.
