Battery Widget Missing After iOS 10 Upgrade

After upgrading my lPad Pro 9.7" to iOS 10, the battery widget is missing in the Notification Center.

Is this a known problem or has Apple decided that widget is not needed/necessary in iOS 10?

I prefer to not wait for the low battery notification before considering recharging my Pencil.

What does anyone know about this?

I had the same problem. Here is how to fix it:

1- Go to settings. Under Bluetooth make sure the pencil is listed.

2- If pencil is listed, click on it and select forget device.

3- Press the sleep/ wake button. Slide to turn iPad off.

4- Turn iPad back on.

5- Insert the lightning connector of the pencil into the lightning port.

6- Accept the pairing request.

7- Unplug pencil. The pencil battery should be visible in the widget now.
