Same issue with my iPhone 7

Anyone else, beside user Pierre Nobs, can confirm, that a Hardware replace solves the issue?

Apparently the problem doesn't show up with what's up video calls

Anyone can confirm it?

Exactly same issue here on iPhone 7plus

I have iPhone 7 plus with 256 gb and i have the same exact problem i tried to restore and reset and everything , Looks like it is a major problem that apple is not aware of..... apple help !

No flickering problem there...therefore it appears to be a FT software related prob...

Could it be (power) frequency related?

I do not see it flickering so strong here in Europe (50Hz)..

When I used FT in the US (60Hz) it was terrible....

How about daylight, do you all experience flickering there as well??

Experiencing the same with my Iphone 7 Plus. My face just turns beyond white and then eventually the brightness goes down way too far. any movement of the camera makes the brightness fluctuate crazily

Im having the exact same issue as everyone is describing on my new phone (bought last week). The problem only just started yesterday so mid FaceTime call, switched over to WhatsApp and it works perfectly fine. Switched back to FaceTime and problem came back again...

If anyone finds a solution (a permanent solution) please let us know!! This is beyond annoying

What's up with Apple finding a solution? FaceTime is their software! How long has this been an issue? Since iPhone 7 was released? This is appalling service from a company I've been loyal to for more than 20 years!

I can also confirm this (iPhone 7 Plus, 256 GB, iOS 10.1.1): lots of flickering (brightness pumping), alternating between under- and overexposure of the image, tested under different lighting conditions. This really does make Facetime unusable on the device. Which is a pity, given the price of the phone.

Same problem with an iPhone 7 128Gb in Switzerland, and another unit from my sister in Belgium (iPhone7 32Gb).

Seems a software problem, why Apple has not solved it yet? First post in this thread is from October 1st, and seems a common problem in all iPhone 7.

Does anyone from apple even read these complains here???? How come they haven't tried to solve the issue or at least address that and give us hope that it will be solved !?

FYI. This is not an official complaint platform, it is just a place for end user to share informations.

To make it official, everyone of us affected must talk to the Apple support team, so that they have enough database to justify and make it as a case.

I have done it 22nd Nov via online chat. I hope you guys can do the same.

I've done that, twice now, and have been told the usual nonsense -

1. Restore phone to factory and set up as new (their solution to most things - I also have an earphone issue which wasn't solved by this solution)
2. Go to Apple store and get them to fix it (ie get a new phone).

Have once given them this discussion, which proves neither of those options work. New phones seem to have the same issues.

Have spent an inordinate amount of my time in discussion with them, only to be told nonsense.

Not everyone uses Facetime (and not everyone uses earphones). At what point does Apple actually do something about this issue? It's been months!
