Bose QuietComfort 25 headphones with iPhone7. Voice not carried through adapter?

I use a pair of these Bose headphones for my work all day, and while I was excited to get my iPhone7, I would hate for these headphones to not work. I assumed since the 7 came with an adapter, all would be good, and I can hear just fine through them, but my voice will not carry through. Tested calling my wife and trying to talk to Siri, they could not hear me, but I could hear them.

I have tested my iPhone6 Apple Earpods through the adapter and it works just fine....so must be an issue with the Bose? Anything I can try?

Hi

Other users have reported experiencing issues with both Apple and third-party headphones.

Apple is reportedly working on a fix.

In the meantime, I suggest letting Apple know that you are also experiencing problems:

You probably already figured this out.. i had this same problem with the same headphones, figured out if the adapter goes into the phone first and then the headphones into the adapter only sound through the headphones will work, no functional microphone use or ability to use the volume controls on the headphones. But if you have the adapter already connected to the headphones as one chord and then plug that into the phone the microphone and volume control features will now work. Strange..
