No headphone audio bug on iOS 10

I updated to iOS 10 and ever since occasionally there is no headphone audio. I reboot my phone and it works fine.

This happens randomly and occasionally.

Anyone else getting this?

Even getting your iPhone replaced with a brand new iPhone from AppleCare doesn't solve the problem... jeez. I've seen multiple reports of people with BRAND NEW iPhone 6S and 7 phones suffer from this problem... it's is most certainly a software problem.

In any case, go to AppleCare and complain! Ask for a new phone because you are entitled to a new phone! Show them the problem or use one of your iPhone 6Ses to take a video of the problem when it pops up on the other iPhone 6S. If you have visual proof of the issue, Apple will have to start taking the issue seriously. And keep taking videos--if you have multiple videos of the issue, you show that it's occurring no matter what solution you try.

Also, file a feedback report: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

We've had this issue for 5 months without any permanent solution in place. This is NOT normal behaviour for ANY smartphone, especially not for a premium flagship smartphone like the iPhone 6S or 7. If the issue persists, just straight up return your iPhone and wait for the iPhone 8. Don't take this lying down!

Remember, there have been multiple issues with iPhones in the past that were only resolved when a lot of people got together and started complaining to Apple. We have to do the same here. The more people that complain and provide evidence of the issue, the better. That's what got bendgate, iPhone 4S mutegate, iPhone 6S battery problems, and more resolved.

You might have missed this:

Don’t blog, post screen shots, tweet, or publicly post information about the public beta software, and don't discuss the public beta software with or demonstrate it to others who are not in the Apple Beta Software Program.

From here:

Apple Beta Software Program

As for the para. you quoted, the defining word is "may". Apple has not made private discussion forums available for the public beta; the forums here are public - therefore confidential matters cannot be discussed here.

Hi, I'm here from the popular "iOS 10 no sound from speaker or Earpods" thread that was remove just a few days ago. I don't know why, but it certainly frustrates me how Apple is being so secretive and underhanded about iOS 10 issues. I've been experiencing audio loss since iOS 10.0.1. I'm now on iOS 10.2.1 and audio loss issues have yet to be solved. It's been nearly 5 months... my patience is reaching its limits and I'm going to sell my phone in a month if this issue persists. I cannot continue using a dysfunctional phone.

The problem: after using the phone without earphones connected for a couple of hours, Ingo to use my phone and plug my earphones in. After doing so, the Music app stops working properly (no sound + tracks begin stopping and starting randomly). I also can't watch Youtube videos in Safari or the Google app (video doesn't play but the time scrubber works and I can go to different frames in the video). Phone audio and other app audio works, EXCEPT for audio in other Apple apps like the iTunes Store app, which starts and stops like the Music app.

I dub this the mutegate infection--once mutegate infects one app, it'll infect the rest (in my case Music, then Safari, then iTunes Store). I am now 99.9% positive that this is a software and RAM management issue since I never had audio issues with iOS 9 and under on this iPhone. The now-deleted mutegate thread had some really good in-depth info on why this might be happening (no call audio, etc) but sadly no one has archived it.

Things I've tried:

-Enabling Lock Sound (nope)

-Turning Airplane Mode on and off (nope)

-Factory resetting my iPhone and not restoring a backup (setting it up as a new phone, redownloading apps, etc) - nope!!!

-Enabling speakermode (doesn't make a difference for people without call issues)

One partial solution to this is invoking audio in another app like Clash of Clans and then trying to start Music again, but this rarely works. I am so frustrated right now. Using my iPhone is becoming a chore now, more than anything. What happened to the motto "it just works"?
