Apple Store not working in Apple TV 4 gen

I Bought today Apple TV 4gen, all works except the App Store After I updated to last Os, when I go to purchase/ download any app I make click in one of them to download it and the app doesn't open. You can make click with remote , it moves but doesn't open. I cannot see top charts , categories, purchased or search , when I go to those options the lists doesn't show, I tried rebooting, restoring, disconnecting all cables, resetting my router, connecting to another network, to another Apple ID and nth seems to work.

Anyone having same issue??

is the new Os? Cause before I updated I could use normally Apple Store. I'm in Finland btw

I Just wrote a quick solution that might avoid the problem till Apple release an update.

at the moment calling to Apple will not solve your problem specifically, because it might be an update problem

the only thing you can do is call and report the problem to them because seems this forum doesnt help too much, that report can wait till Monday I believe. When I talk to apple, the advisor explained to me that they cannot don nothing about it when you call, just the basic support to detect the problem, they have to inform to developers, engineers, etc. That is the reason why we as costumers have to call there and report so they put attention on the case. For example The adviser told that even my complain by phone here In Finland was the first but many other people has the issue, but they do Not call.

restart your Apple TV and then when you go to App Store avoid the tab top charts, if you do you can download apps, and browse the Store But remember: always avoid the top charts tab

The temporary remedy method by Stellar works but ultimately, it is still TvOS10 that is playing up the app store especially the "Top App" Page.

To all, please do report this matter with the phone support (i.e. schedule a support tele-call).

I have already done so. I was also informed by the tech support engineer that this matter has not been widely reported in their database thus the slow reaction?

Appreciate of all you to do the reporting if suffering this same issue. Without the reports, they will not know the true extent of this matter.

I contacted Apple Support America, explained to them about the problem and indicated that this problem seems to be affecting users outside of USA.

I had to go through the usual Reset, and when that didn't work I had to apply the Reset and Update which also did not work.

They do not believe the problem is with their system. I'm still going through their troubleshooting steps, my next step is to reset the Apple TV via USB-C cable. They have also indicated that the problem could be with the network.

Contact your Apple support and tell them of your problem. They are not aware that there is a problem.

Blizzard74, I think you should contact Apple Support for Finland and open a support ticket and explain to them about the problem. Prepare 1 hour, they will want to reset/reboot/test, erase-reset/reboot/test. Also, check that your internet line has no problems, reboot your router, perform speed tests.

I downgraded my AppleTV to 9.2.2 using a USB-C cable connected to my Mac Mini using iTunes. You can mention this to support and hopefully they can quickly find a solution.

restart your device and avoid going to top charts that way you can download and browse things, if you go to top charts you will have same problem

People : report this issue directly you your local apple support, you can schedule a phone call, they will call you back, and you have to report to them, the more reports they get they will finally. release an update. I am not sure if they even read these posts so better call there.

Hi I am having exactly the same problem. I am in Ireland I did a full factory reset and install and it worked until I went into Top charts, I can see the search screen, purchased and categories and I can navigate them all and all of the app icons respond when i scroll over them but I cannot install any apps. It does nothing when I click on them. The apps i downloaded work fine. Apple music works fine. This is very annoying as the only apps I have downloaded are Netflix and youtube which i had working fine on my old apple tv. Also i was very annoyed to see Siri does not work in Ireland when i was setting it up!! So i have spent 249eu on something that does less than my old apple tv!!!!

how do i get a refund?

My App Store seems to be working ok now with tvOS 10. I am able to view Apps from the top bar (Featured, Top Charts, Categories, Purchased, & Search). Even in the Categories sub sections (Games, Education, Entertainment, & Lifestyle) I am now able to see apps and click to view preview.

Those having problems try to reboot the Apple TV and try again. If you still have problems, contact Apple Support.

I have not done anything on my end, and it seems Apple fixed my problem in their back-end system.

I did contact Apple Support and opened a ticket with them.
