iPhone 7 screen backlight not working

I was playing around with my new iPhone 7 and after testing the Retina Flash (the one that makes the screen blink bright white to simulate a flash for the front facing camera) the screen went totally black. I think the problem is the screen backlight since the iphone still respond to commands (with sounds and taptic feedbacks) and I can even see whats is going on the screen with the help of a super bright external light. Is anybody facing a similar problem?

I've seen back light failure with other models. Usually a motherboard component failure.

Try doing a reset, hold down the power and home buttons together for up to 30 seconds or until you see the Apple logo reappear. If this doesn't fix it, then try to restore it. If this doesn't fix it, then you will likely have a problem with the back light circuit on the motherboard, in which case have the phone replaced under warranty.
