Birthday calendar duplicated hundreds of times on iOS 10

Having recently upgraded to iOS 10, I see that my calendar app has duplicated the birthdays calendar hundreds of times - both on the Facebook calendar group and my default home calendar group. It has also duplicated my default calendar hundreds of times (See pictures below).

The default home Calendar is easy enough to get rid of. I simply hit 'Edit' and delete each one one by one (which is annoyingly slow and tedious, but possible). However the 'Birthdays' calendars cannot be removed or deleted this way. There is no option to delete or merge them.

I've restored my phone's iOS on iTunes, hoping it would remove (or at least merge) the hundreds of Birthday calendar duplicates. However, after restoring my phone's software with a recent iCloud backup, the duplicates were still there.

Is this an iOS 10 bug? If not, is there a way to fix this?

Still not seeing multiple birthdays after downloading the
new beta. I’ve checked all areas on my
6s and still no duplicates

no more problems since ios 10.3 beta update.

Thank you for this update, i ´m proud i have not paid for this issue, we had to be patient ;-)

I have the same birthdays calendar bug and don't use Facebook in any way.

It happens on my IPhone 6s so it is not limited to iPhone 7.

Just a heads up for those that are running iOS 10 betas: iOS 10.3 beta 2 breaks the DecypherTools fix; you will have to re-do it when you update to beta 2.

Well after this long drawn out bug - we have a rather simple solution.

Update to iOS 10.3 or if it’s really bugging you at this given time, I would suggest you install the beta (beta.apple.com)

I HAD THIS PROBLEM AND IT MADE ME CRAZY. Apple DINT help at all. I found the solution - and it worked 100% https://deciphertools.com/ - the one that is called "backup repair"

Just wanted to throw in my /2c, updated to the official release of iOS 10.3 overnight, and it has fixed the issue for me too!! Finally a usable phone again!!! <3

I can confirm the fix with 10.3.

Before updating I installed back the Calendar and simply run the update.

Next task, is to fight my constantly disconnecting Bluetooth connection with a car.

Latest 10.3beta6 sloved hundres of birthday problem. finally I spend 5 min to remove all the local "calendar"

So just for clarification- I'm running 10.3.3 on both my phone (6s) and iPad (pro) - but haven't updated my mac recently. And the issue is still there?! What is your mac running?
