45W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter Damaged?

My Macbook Air was battery drained since last night and I attempted to have it charged today however, I was not able to put the plug in properly in the outlet that cause the outlet to sparked loudly. I did not push the plug in because I was afraid.

As checked with maintenance, the outlet and the 45W MagSafe Power Adapter was not damaged. No burnt smell but due to the impact it melted the plug a little (see photos attached).User uploaded file

I did try to plug it in another outlet and it worked. I had my Mac Air charged in an hour. Due to what happened, is it still safe to use my charger? Is there going to affect my Mac Air if i continue use it? Should i purchase another charger instead?

Please help. This is the first time this incident has happened to me.

Thank you.
