iOS 10 notifications won't go away
In the new iOS 10 update I did, my iMessage banner and notifications banners won't go away when I try to slide it up. Does anyone know to to fix this?

I am dealing with something similar. The banner will stay on the screen for an extended period of time and not go away automatically after a couple seconds seeing the notification.
if you click the home button the notification will go away - this is not a bug (fixed by restarting) but a new "feature"... hate it. but no way to remove as far as I can tell

Same thing. This is very annoying. Cant sild up the notifications up to close them. Will I have to turn off notifications? Come on apple
It is a widget. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a edit setting. You can disable there.
This is the new functionality of Alert notifications. Make sure your notifications are set to Banner if you would like them to go away after a few seconds. Drove me mad for a few weeks!

GGo to settings, general, accessibility, home button and turn on 'rest finger to open'
it's much better!
All of us experiencing this problem are using banners. That's the problem..
Perhaps I needed to state that differently..
ALL OF US EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM ARE USING BANNERS.

Yeah usually, but so many others aren't having any of these issues that I'm starting to lose faith..
