iPhone 7 and BMW Bluethooth streaming issues

Agreed. My phone will connect for messages and Siri (so she can screw up my texts!) if I turn off the audio function -- so it can communicate with the phone by Bluetooth. It just freezes when audio is used for music. I also notice the images flicker before it freezes. My real concern was it might not be a patch issue (unlikely?) or it might take a month or two.

Fixed. I went to BMW dealership to get something fixed. They updated the software too. which somehow fixed the issue. SO it may just be the issue on BMW side.

The same thing happened to me when my car came back from service however joy was short lived as after a few days same old problems surfaced. Music now only streams for a few seconds then stops and the phone will no longer connect.

Same issue for me Brand new BMW and iPhone 7+. Works sometimes and lasted a whole hour journey once but does exactly the same - still plays on the iPhone but car system freezes and i have to disconnect the phone and re connect...

Apparently we are waiting for an iOS update to fix??

What year? I have my tune next Thursday. My 6s on 10.0.2 had zero issues, but some have issues with the 6 and 6s.

I have succeeded in connecting idrive via bluetooth after upgrading to IOS10.1. Suddenly disconneted issue which reported on IOS 10.0 have not occured in my X3 F25.

What software needed to be updated, iConnect? If so, what is the version number of the upgrade?

I upgraded only iPhone7 not idrive. Successful IOS version is 10.2. No issue has occurred after upgrade.

blue tooth is now streaming, but its hit and miss.

sometimes will have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times before it will play smoothly

There is no iOS version 10.3. There was 10.0.3 but the latest version is 10.1. Update to it.

Just wanted to bring this back up to the top. I've been waiting for a resolution from Apple since I opened a case 42 days ago and can't seem to get their attention about this problem. Still ongoing.

I've changed my bluetooth name to "IPhone" and my problem solved. I don't know but you can try
