Why is the "Save Image" option missing in Safari?

The "Save Image" option is missing in Safari when I try to save linked images. In order for me to save these images, I have to open the image in a new tab. This never happened before upgrading to iOS 10.0.1. I am using an iPhone 6s Plus 128GB.

Now before you say that it might be an issue with the website, keep in mind that this is happenning to multiple sites. Also, the Chrome browser has no problem saving linked images. The "Save Image" option is right where it's supposed to be.

If you happen to be on an iPhone running 10.0.1, try saving one of these images that I posted. I have the same problem on this website as I do other websites. You'll find that you'll have to open them in a new tab to be able to save them. It's truly a hassle having to open a new tab every time you want to save an image. As I've said, this is a problem I've never experienced before. It's always disappointing when a new firmware update comes out that takes one step forward and two steps back. Please fix this bug asap.
