Every time I swipe over to the left from home screen the news app is there (which is a nice feature), however, the news sources are always from liberal media sources.... Which I detest. I have opened my news app and set my favorites to Fox News only, but those news stories do not show up in the widget. I dont click on those liberal sources and yet they are the only ones that keep showing up. Is there a way to correct this?
Really getting tired of the political brainwashing by being forced to constantly see biased headlines. Never see my selected sources unless I scroll for miles, and never in the widget summary. Apple should allow people freedom to be influence by whom they wish through their news preferences, the same right Apple apparently reserves only for itself (hence subtley forcing consumers into their echo chamber when people should be able to at least choose their own).
How about this Apple, since you are apparently feeling your political views are so right that forcing them on others is morally justified, why don't you feature the headline widget with half the users preferences and half your own out of fairness and freedom of thought? That way, we can return to the truth that there are two sides to every coin and people can thus be fairly afforded both overt and subconscious encouragement to think for themselves, instead of to be influenced to only think CNN, NYT, and "Huff" has the news and the only way to interpret it? Enough of the straw man, red herring Apple news feed.

Serious, why does apple think they are in a position to shove a San Francisco world view down our throats? Makes my blood boil.. They give you this option to highlight sources you want.. and then your news feed is still the same as they wanted it to be... But you can go to a favorites tab and have a bunch of tiles to click on.

As I apparently can't edit posts, I do make the correction that I almost never see my alternative news sources featured in the widget.. once in a blue moon I do, but it is constantly buzzing and filled with news sources I do not care to follow or listen to. The concern voiced in this thread, and elsewhere, is to not have privilege to the ability to choose against the profound bias Apple floods me with and be free of unwelcome propaganda in my personal sphere on my device.
Not this particular posting of it. It was discussed last week elsewhere and people are probably getting tired of it.
