iOS10 WiFi Keeps forgetting hidden network

I have attempted all of your steps to resolve, but still cannot auto connect to hidden wifi in IOS10. I have an iPhone 5.

In our organisation we took around 8-10 iPhone 5 devices with this issue (out of over 200 which have this issue), fully wiped them and the problem was still present on all of them.

The ONLY 'reliable' fix is to unhide your Wireless network. This is what our organisation did and straight away all devices auto connected and have been working fine ever since (couple weeks now).

I have done a network reset, i recently changed my device from 5s to iphone 7 and I was hoping that if i use my 7 without restoring my 5s backup, the hidden network might work but that didnt work as well. Can apple seriously take this issue and solve it?

Agreed. Must be a software issue. iPad mini 2 has trouble reliably connecting to my hidden network (wpa2 security) since iOS 10 update. Apple, please fix! iPhone 6s plus not having any issues.

Saying that in this user to user forum does absolutely no good; Apple does not read what is posted here. The only way Apple learns about issues is if you call them, chat online with them or visit an Apple Store.

I have the same problem since updating my two iphone 6 and two ipad4 devices to ios10 (currently all are on 10.1.1). This has never been a problem with earlier ios versions. It's especially annoying on the iphones because when the devices forget the wifi network, they switch to cellular and burn up my data allocation. Ick.

Hello Guys, it seems that a lot of you have the same issue, did you get any response from Apple regarding it?

What did Apple say when YOU called them?

I dont have time to call them, but i told it my superios and the guy who interacts with network provider (A1 in this case bcus Austria) .

Lets see but i guess nothing will happen.

Regarding calling them ........ first i hate Apple, i dont like their products but still i have to support them, so this leaves me in a strange situation where i a have to interact with them but i try to reduce it.

So visiting one of their stores is out of question, anyhow i will not pick up 180 iphones and visit their store and tell them "they do not find a hidden wlan" . If you do this kind of stuff congrats you must be driving a Semi or something like that.

But tell me how did it worked for you, did you called them or are just here as the quota troll?

And by the way i opened a call with apple, still waiting for a feedback. That is the result of MY CALL with apple.

Any news now that iOS 10.2 is out?

Nope. Still not working for me after update. Apple please address this issue!

Apple won't see your exhortation here in this user-to-user forum. Apple formally recognizes issues when people contact Apple support directly, either by phone, chat, callback, or visiting an Apple store genius bar. All issues reported by these channels are recorded, and analyzed for commonality. It's best to ask for a senior tech specialist if you call or chat, as the tier 1 support people work only from scripts. The "geniuses" have a little more leeway, but they have escalation routes also. Reports to http://apple.com/feeback are also cataloged, but response is generally slower. If you have a developer account you can file a bug report, also.

Updated to 10.2 yesterday, and has been finding hidden network. Have others still seen this with 10.2?

I updated to 10.2 a few days ago, and my phone is not finding my hidden network. Earlier in this thread I posted a short term solution involving forgetting the network, and this short term solution still seems to work (I did it again yesterday, and so far so good), but the problem is still there, at least for me.
