Favorites missing in maps with iOS 10

Same here, and not the first time. I saved all places in the favorite and all of sudden they're all gone, when I need them. So disappointed. And, the Siri !!!! It Never can correctly recognize what I say. I have no problem with google and Amazon. Bye bye Apple, will buy another iPhone in my life!!!!

Same happening to me. I'm on the road a lot and this is an essential feature for safe driving for me. This is the third time I've had to recreate them and it's becoming upsetting and frustrating when driving and needing quick navigation..

This is the second time I lost my favorites in Apple Maps. I reset my iPhone 7 plus and also attempted a fix from a different forum where I connect my iPhone to my car which has car play. Open Apple Maps after connecting to Apple car play and close and relaunch Apple car play. I still don't have my favorites.

Did you get positive results from Apple...because I didnt-they didn't have a clear answer! Had me go through pain staking steps of backup/reset and trying to restore from previous back up but it didn't work!!!!!

I'm extremely disappointed Apple did not alert of this possible flaw in upgrade and I definitely want a resolution and/or compensation!

Let's band together and demand results!!!

Same here! Just lost about 80 favourites for the SECOND time in 3 months! I had bothered to re-enter everything but now I'm seriously demotivated. What's going on?

MAJOR FAIL! Years of curated locations LOST! Feature or bug?

Me too. I had them after upgrading to ios10 for a while, and then they disappeared. I'm not sure but wondering if it happened around the time I upgraded to sierra on the mac because they are missing there too when previously they existed.

As well, I don't have my favorites and they don't sync between macOS and iOS (iPad, iPhone) with the same iCloud account.

Finally, after deleting all of them it looks like it starts to sync. But it's SO slow. It takes minutes/hours to sync.

Same problem here. Had them until three days ago, now all 180 of my favorites are gone. Poof! Every cool spot we visited on vacation over the past several years... Unfortunately, we're out of town now and I saved some favorites to use on this trip. Tried restarting phone and tried saving new favorites, no luck yet. Anyone have any suggestions? I need to hit up the Apple Genius Bar this week anyhow - my fingerprint recognition also stopped working. Won't recognize a fingerprint and won't allow me to save new ones. yay.

I don't think they're gonna fix this. iOS 10 came some time ago already and this is not a problem for the immense majority of people... The data is lost and that's it. 😟 The only thing we can do is to speak with Apple Support and try to get some compensation for this, I think...

Same issue here. >60 favorites in apple maps simply disappeared yesterday. the only possible related cause may be due to a transit map update. I flew from SFO to SAN, upon landing I recieved a push notification from Apple maps stating my SD transit maps had been updated. Then, the next day, I realize all of my favorites... poof gone! I reported the issue via the apple maps app, but I doubt I will hear back. This is obviously a known issue. My advice, don't use favorites.
